Today, Iran is one of Russia's key trade and economic partners in the Middle East.
In 2021, trade turnover between the countries reached historic levels and reached $4 billion.

Russia and Iran are interested in cooperation both at the bilateral level and within the framework of regional international organizations and initiatives (SCO, EAEC, etc.).
Experts note a whole range of potential opportunities between the countries in a changing economic order.

Iran's experience in building an independent economy in the face of external constraints is an excellent example to be admired and imitated. In addition, dialogue with Iran is also important to Russia as the most important center of power in the Middle East, through which many conflicts between states can be resolved and avoided.
