On February 25, 2022 at the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council meeting in Nur-Sultan (Republic of Kazakhstan) the Eurasian Economic Union Prime Ministers signed an Order "On the joint project of the Eurasian Economic Union member states on the implementation of accelerated railway and multimodal transport of agricultural products and foodstuffs "Eurasian Agroexpress".
The project provides for the organization of accelerated railway and multimodal transportation in order to develop regular mutual deliveries of agricultural products and foodstuffs between the countries of the Eurasian Union, as well as export deliveries in the Asian and European directions.
To implement the objectives, the directorate of the project "Eurasian Agroexpress" - Autonomous Non-Profit Organization for Assistance in the Development of Agricultural Activities "Eurasian Agrologistics" was established.
The mission of the project is to ensure food security, promote fair and mutually beneficial distribution of food products between the countries of the Eurasian Union and neighboring states, increase the volume of exports and imports of agro-industrial products.
