On December 5, 2022, the Eurasian Economic Commission held the 3rd meeting of the High-Level Working Group to facilitate the implementation of the joint project "Eurasian Agroexpress".
At the meeting the results of the project development for the 10 months of 2022 were reported by the Project Directorate of the ANO "Eurasian Agrologistics".
The invited representatives of the parties involved in the project discussed the restrictions on access of agricultural products to the target markets.
The presentation of the concept "Digital platform "Eurasian Agroexpress" and the prospects of expanding the joint project to new areas were also presented at the discussion.

As a result of the meeting and based on the EEC report on the implementation of the joint project "Eurasian AgroExpress", decisions were made:

1. Include in the project transportations on the ITC "North - South" in the direction of the Republic of India and the UAE through the territory of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

2. During mutual deliveries of agricultural products and foodstuffs in the direction of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Uzbekistan to initiate work on the development of the ORC network in the territories of the states - participants of the joint project; to study the possibility of establishing economically feasible competitive tariffs for accelerated rail and multimodal transport for 2023 - 2024.

3. In order to develop regular exports of agricultural products and food of EEC member states in the Asian direction to coordinate work aimed at reaching agreements with China to eliminate restrictive measures and the optimization of customs and other administrative procedures in the implementation of accelerated rail and multimodal transport under the joint project.

For reference: EAEU member states increased exports of food products and agricultural raw materials to Iran by 2.3 times in 2021 (compared to 2020). Member states' imports from Iran for the same commodity nomenclature increased by 10%.
For example, Iran at the end of 2021 more than tripled the supply of tomatoes to Kazakhstan compared to 2020, and the supply of grapes from Iran to Kazakhstan in 2021 increased by 54%.
